It was a beautiful day considering the season, and Sarah wanted to enjoy it. The past few days had been quite the whir in her life, and let's not even mention what had been going on in her mind. After that rendezvous with Dawson, she was beginning to really mull over that conversation with Scraps. Maybe someone liking her was a good thing, maybe the person could be a protector of sorts. She laughed out loud after she thought it. How ridiculous was that, to need a protector? A person, nonetheless. A human guard dog. Besides, she had plenty of people that were more than willing to keep an eye on her if came to that.
Trailing her hand along the green hedge of the garden maze, she sighed. The palace grounds were huge and largely unexplored for her, so when the garden maze abruptly ended and gave way to a large and sapphire lake, her eyes widened. "Oh," she said in surprise. "Well, hello there," she grinned and stepped forward. She knew the lake was there, but it being at the end of the maze was quite a nice surprise. And to boot, it had a pleasant sitting area under a tree, with a few ducks waddling about that looked expectant at her presence.
Sarah gladly took the serene sitting spot being offered, smiling down at the ducks that now moved to huddle around her feet. "Sorry guys, I don't have anything for you." She shrugged her hands helplessly.
