Apparently he wasn't going to get much of a break. He had just sat down again with Peter from his dance with Az, and suddenly he was being beckoned again for a dance. Now, all he wanted to do was sit and drink and make Peter blush. But that wasn't going to happen, because the woman approaching that Peter had pointed out was now tapping his shoulder.
Taking a moment to compose his face, he turned in the chair to face her and all composure was lost as abruptly as it had arrived. He knew her, and the blank and slightly stunned expression said so. What the hell was she doing here?
Clearing his throat, he nodded and stood, offering his hand as gave Peter an apologetic look. "Of course."
Oh the look on his face was just amazing. Only Dawson had known in advance that she was a noble and poor little Gabe was left out of the loop. "Thank you," Kieran replied as she took his hand and moved onto the dance floor with him.
Once they were away from his friend, she spoke, "I expected a look like that from you, I try to hide my status most times," She said with a small wink while her fingers wrapped within his own and her other placed on his shoulder. "It's been a while, Grey."
It was habit for her to call people, well people she had sexual tension with, by their last names. Made it better for them (during intercourse) if she called their real name. Just another mind bending tactic of hers. "I missed you."
"Wait so you're actually attending the ball?" he asked in a low hiss, looking over his shoulder to make sure they were far enough from the table. Peter didn't need to be overhearing this conversation. "Because I swear if Zero sent you trailing after me because he thinks I can't do my--" he cut himself off with a growl. He had already said too much, even though his voice was barely audible even to him. Besides, that was not the case. She had just told him she had status
( ... )
Oh the poor boy was jumping to conclusions, and while he did that he hinted at something that was possibly to come, maybe. Zero always did have stupid plans. "Trust me, Zero wants nothing to do with me except to mount my head on his wall," She announced through a false smile to let people know she was 'enjoying' her dance with this man.
"Oh please we both know that even the toughest of men need their ego, or other things, stroked." With a raised eyebrow a smirk formed, for just a second until it faded behind her false smile once more, she couldn't draw too much attention to them because it was hard enough to talk now.
What with all these people around them talking and babbling about shit that didn't matter. "What have you been up to, mister popular?" With her eyes she indicated the man who's side she'd pulled him from. Aw was that his lover?
His eyes narrowed slightly at her words, unsure if he should believe them. Kieran was a decent match, it was true, so he had no reason to believe that her ability to lie was not as good as his. "If you say so," he finally accepted, before cracking a grin at her ridiculous false smile. "You're not foolin' anyone but yourself, Goodman. Put that thing away. Let's share our hate openly." He gave her waist a tight squeeze, as if hugging her to show her that mutual loathing was perfectly acceptable.
"That's true, we do. But if I remember right the last time I heard you weren't any good for that sort of thing." He bit the corner of his lip and raised his eyebrows sadly.
Gabriel followed her eyes as she referenced Peter before looking back at her. "Well, the castle's kinda boring so I had to find my own fun. It's a shame you aren't around," he clicked his tongue.
With a snort at his words her eyes roamed around the room for half a second, "If that's what you believe who am I to change your mind? Your fellow buddy, Dawson? Well according to him if his words during our ... fun, is anything to go by then, Ozma blessed me." Kieran returned with a grin. He could take that however he wanted but she knew he would fully understand what she'd meant.
Glancing at Peter she offered a thoughtful nod, "He's not that bad looking. Well I'm around now, aren't I? I'm supposed to be here for a couple of weeks before returning to IX, but that's not going to happen, I'll just disappear back into the Realms." To her 'calling' as Dawson called it, ah he was so funny when he was almost ready to explode.
Gabriel gave a snort at the mention of Dawson. The fact that she was sleeping with him was only icing on the cake. "Oh Goodman, he's nothing to go by. You do realize you are just another notch in his bedpost, right?" he asked, raising a brow. "I'd be amazed if that man knew good sex anymore. He's all about the quantity, not the quality." He paused and shrugged. "But I won't stop you from feeling blessed... if what you say is true, one day you'll just have to prove it to me."
"Yeah, and he's nice and innocent, which only adds to the fun. He blushes so easily." His eyes lingered on Peter a moment and he smiled just slightly. The smile was more earnest than either of them knew.
"Ah, the realms..." he gave a nod. "Always a good place for a noble such as yourself," he smirked. "Gordon still with that three-breasted hooker?"
"And he's one in mine, just because I don't list every man I've ever been with doesn't mean Dawson is the only one, far from it." Which was the damned truth, Zero as well, as far as they knew and a handful of others, which is what she knew.
"Oh he blushes too?" It was almost too easy, the two of them, (much like the other longcoats) liked to fuck with people. "Muss him up, fuck him a little and then find a new toy huh?" She questioned with a grin before rolling her eyes as he mentioned her status.
"Not my fault I was born into the nobility, it happened, and I live my life despite what is or isn't to their liking. As far as I know Gordon was with that Fae that Zero found."
"Well I know that," he rolled his eyes. "I'm pretty sure the whole of the OZ knows that. You just sounded a bit too proud about being 'blessed', I had to wonder if you really knew what Dawson was about." How could she not, though, was the bigger question. If Gabe was shameless... Dawson was reckless.
He laughed at her reaction to Peter's blushing and nodded. "Just like a real boy! But all things considered, I think I may hold onto this one for a bit. Well, however long I'm in the castle," he reasoned. For a second his conscience nearly caught up with him... and he almost felt, what was it? Whatever it was, it was nagging at him for toying with Peter... but the guilt was swatted away as quickly as it had appeared.
"Zero found a Fae?" he asked quietly, his brow dropping.
"Oh and if you were hearing that from whoever it is warming your bed you wouldn't be proud? She found that hard to believe but then again there were times when people surprised her, but then they were talking about the guy, Peter, and she listened to him in a thoroughly amused way.
"Yes, a Fae. She's a white little thing who has a sexual appetite to match, her and Gordon went at it." He'd understand what she meant by that and if he didn't then his intelligence was slipping to the state where she didn't need to associate with him anymore, but that would be a slightly sad day because Gabriel was fun.
He gave a noncommittal shrug to her question, although if he was truthful he probably would have agreed. But it wasn't like he really needed a whore to tell him he was great in bed, because he was more than aware of the fact. "So Goodman, if you're blessed, why are you wasting your talents on Dawson?" To Gabriel, Dawson wasn't much more than a mildly attractive face. His lack of vocabulary didn't help his attractiveness, either. Maybe if he knew more words than 'fuck', Gabe would give him a second glance.
For a moment, Gabriel gave Kieran a frustrated look. The fae had chosen to play with Gordon? Women sometimes had the absolute dumbest ideas. Faes were naturally gorgeous, she could have had anyone she wanted, and she chose slimy Gordon. What a pity. "Gordon..." he echoed, shaking his head in disgust.
"Because there's very few men who actually get off on pain let alone can give me what I want, and Dawson - while lacking any education at all, can do that." She replied with a small smile which quickly faded as he said Gordon's name.
She shrugged at that, "Well she wants what she wants and he wants anything that allows him to slip between their legs, so it's a perfect fit." It wasn't as if she cared, after all Gordon was fun to play with but she'd never have sex with him, he just wasn't the kind of person she liked.
"Sounds like you've been playing with the wrong men, love." He offered her a smirk and patted her cheek. "Just so long as you don't try to have any intelligent conversation with him... it might kill him," Gabriel teased before moving a hand to her shoulder.
Kieran had said all that could really be said concerning Gordon and the Fae, so he just nodded in silent agreement.
"Well, this conversation's got a little too serious for me, so I think I'll be stepping off the dance floor now." It was good timing, too, because the song was ending.
"Hope I see ya later. Play nice with the boys," he whispered, before letting her go and walking back to the table.
