When the lights go down in the city...

So Arizona was...

5 hour flight to Phoenix
2 hour drive (rental PT cruiser) to Sedona
We arrived at Sedona on the Ridge (Franks' Parent's time share)! Seriously beautiful golf resort
Sedona is home of the "Red dirt shirt"! There were awesome red rocks everywhere.
Frank and I hiked Bell Rock the next morning (incredible views of the desert).
Next day we drove to the Painted desert and the Petrified forest (unlike anything I've ever seen).
The following day Frank, his brother Rich, Rich's fiance, Chrissy, and I went to Slide Rock Park. There was a natural water slide in the river rocks! So fucking awesome!
Thursday we went to the Grand Canyon! WOW! Frank and I watched the sunrise and sunset! WOW!!!!!!!!!!
I've also been introduced to the "National Parks Passports." You can get a free stamp at all the parks, monuments etc...
Of course I'm now obsessed, so we got as many stamps as possible!

Then the bad stuff started happening:

There was a serial killer in Phoenix!
A plane crashed in Kentucky!
The biggest spider I've ever seen was on the ceiling, above or bed, in the hotel room!
We found another spider in the ceiling the next day! (Seriously, I could never live in the desert!)

Then the worst...

The plane ride home was insane.
First we were delayed for an hour because of maint. proplems.
Then when we finally got on, there was turbulence the whole way.
The Captain sounded like he had given up hope.
Seriously, Frank and I prayed (for anyone that knows us: we don't do the praying thing!)

DON'T ever fly when a hurricane is coming through your city!

Good news! We made it through alive! Tomorow is my first day at the Manhattan Girl Scout Council! Yahhh!!!

I miss everyone!

PS. The story of Ricky Bobby was hilarious!!!!
