What is this world coming to?
I must be living in backwards land...tonight at least. And I'm not saying I don't like Neil Diamond, he's fabulous. I've listened to him for literally my entire life! But what's the meaning of this? Neil is on American Idol and Def Leppard is on Dancing with the Stars? I mean, I saw it with my own eyes, but I still don't believe that anyone can 'ballroom dance' to Def Leppard - what were they singing? Something about 9 Lives? Once bitten twice shy?
Well, after witnessing both 'occurances', only one made me want to listen to more...and that was American Idol. (I didn't vote this week, BTW, because last week was such a sham, or shame. How were both the African American girl and the Irish girl in the bottom two? while the perky Caucasian girl just floated through?) But I do want to listen to more Neil. Like I said, I've listened to him my entire life, and really I have taken him and his talent for granted. But seeing him coach our little fledglings tonight, and hearing them sing his tunes, it makes me want to hear more of his work.
