[Continued from HEREMay followed Ryan, keeping her eyes open. She glanced back to see if the girls were keeping up. Cloe still looked shaken by her experience of actually having to shoot someone. Cloe didn't want to be afraid anymore. In one sudden move she lifted her wrist and shot three times; two at the guards and one missed them. She stayed silent, but was semi proud of herself. It was time for her to get revenge.

Patsy walked along, silently, too much going on in her head to make sense of anything. Cloe and May were shooting people. Ryan was back. They were mentioning Salene's little girl. Did Salene have a little girl? Or did they mean just Mouse?

Patsy jumped back as Cloe shot again.

"I'm scared," Patsy whispered.

Cloe turned back and gave her friend a smile. "Don't worry Patsy, everything will be alright. And if anything happens, well...." Cloe didn't know how to finish.

She grabbed Patsy's wrist and turned the T-gun on.

"now, if you see a guard, point at him and bend your wrist down to fire."

Cloe patted Patsy and turned forward.

May paused to look through the thinning trees. She thought she could catch sight of a building up ahead. She hoped that the sound of the T-Guns going off so close hadn't alerted anyone to their presence. She turned around in time to see Cloe turn Patsy's T-Gun on. "You should have had it on before." She scolded.

Patsy looked down at the ground for a moment. "I'm sorry, May."

Patsy shivered a little, more from fear than from being cold, and prayed that she wouldn't have to use the zapper strapped to her wrist.

Cloe shook her head and looked at May with Anger. "She didn't know how it worked May. Cut her some slack." Cloe turned away to May and back to Patsy and stuck her tongue out. May was really starting to bother her.

I just don't want you getting hurt, Patsy." May replied, and that was true. Like Salene, May regarded Patsy as a special friend. And she protected her friends when she could. But here she might not be able to watch over the girl at all times. To Cloe she said. "Who knows how many guards we'll face at the compound, Cloe. We didn't even know how many we would face out here. It was a risk not having it on before. One we can't afford if we want to get the others out." She again looked ahead through the trees, making out the outline of a house. She motioned for them to slow down.

"I'll be careful May, I promise. But I'm so scared!"

Patsy slowed down and stood right next to Cloe as May told them to. Patsy saw the building through the trees.

Cloe bit her lip. She walked away from the group, looking around. She spotted the house and walked a tad closer. She heard nothing. Cloe was just about to take another step....

Patsy reached out with her free hand to try and stop Cloe. She wanted to stay together, but Cloe was a bit out of reach.

"Cloe!" Patsy whispered rather loudly. "Please stay with me."

Cloe stepped back to Patsy. She really wasn't thinking at the moment. Where was Cloe's head?

"Patsy, please don't worry. It will be alright." She hugged her friend tightly. She was scraed, but if May saw that, she wouldn't be happy.

Cloe motioned her friend a tiny bit away from the group.

"I'm scared to Patsy, very scared. But we want Salene and everyone else back, and this is the only. We will win this fight, I promise." Cloe held out her hand to Patsy.

Patsy took Cloe's hand and held it tightly. Pulling her friend back toward the group.

"Thank you, Cloe. You are more like a sister to me than my real sister was."

Patsy went to hug her best friend, but saw something moving from the corner of her eye. She held out her arm, but was too afraid to shoot.

Cloe saw Patsy look at something and raise her arm about to shoot. "Do it Patsy, I know you can. They are the Chosen!" She whispered loudly in her ear. But if she didn't, Cloe was ready to fire at a second's notice.

Patsy bent down her wrist, fired, and watched in horror as a shadow in the woods fell over.

Patsy whimpered and quickly went and stood beside May, hoping she wouldn't have to shoot anyone again.

Ryan, who was slightly ahead of the others could clearly see the house and the large doors in the ground near it. A storm shelter of some kind being guarded by two guards. That was where they were holding Salene and Bray? In a pit in the ground?

He looked back when he heard another T-Gun go off. This time it had been Patsy. He watched her move close to May, clearly scared. His hands fisted at his sides. He was not letting the Chosen do this to his family again.

"There are only two guards." He whispered, gesturing them to move forward to peer through the leaves. "The doors in the ground there. That's where Salene and Bray are."

Cloe's mouth dropped. "There in a hole? That's horrible!" Cloe moved forward to where Ryan was. "How are we going to get them out of there? And what if more guards come? What kind of weapons do they have? Maybe should go and look." Possibly a dumb idea, but worth a shot anyways.
