Super cool awesome fandom things
Some amazing human being over on youtube took the audio of the Keira Knightley Pride & Prejudice movie and dubbed it over footage from Teen Wolf. Stiles is Elizabeth Bennett, Lydia and Allison are the other Bennett sisters, Peter Hale is Mr Collins, Mrs Argent is Catherine de Bourg (and actually looks alarmingly like Judi Dench in a way I hadn't realised until I heard Dame Judi's voice come out of her mouth), and, of course, Derek is Darcy. It is a thing of beauty and raucous laughter and I strongly recommend that you check it out.
I recorded and posted a podfic (Avengers, Steve/Bucky) and have my eye on some other projects. I also set up a mirror of my lj fic account over on dreamwidth because a lot of the podfic community is more active over there.
I've also been hanging out at the nvrleaveharlan summer ficathon and writing Justified fic. (Seriously, all the fic over there is beautiful and people should post more prompts so I can fill them, plzkthnx.) I wrote a couple of fills over at the got-exchange commentfic meme, too.
And, speaking of which, I am currently filling out my sign-up for round four of the exchange - GOT fans on my f-list should totally head over there and sign-up, too, if they haven't already, because this exchange is seriously good fun and the mod is the best. (It's the fabulous linndechir - who happily indulged all my ~feels~ last night about how Daario is the best character in ASOIAF. Thank you for being my evil partner in crime, Linn.)
I also started rewatching due South a little while ago because oh god, Callum Keith Rennie, why are you so attractive? and, ooh the nostalgia, and also all the fanfic is so good. (Though, wow, do authors in that fandom know how to turn an ostensibly cheery canon setting into an enormous ball of angst and repression and issues. Ouch.)
Oh, also, I have to insist that - if any of my f-list is into horror and suspense and watching fictional people being brutally murdered one-by-one - you go and watch Harper's Island right the hell now. I rewatched it recently and it is excellent. It has some flaws (and its ending leaves something to be desired) but it does all the juicy clich´s of that genre so well and is a spectacular thrill ride of slaughter. Yess. (Also, Callum Keith Rennie is in it and is more attractive than he has any right to be in that role- holy christ, way to make me feel bad about myself. I should not even be admitting this.)
