We spent long hours in my friend's father's workshop carving fancy looking swords out of 2x4's, & then destroying them in under a week playing King Arthur & trying to beat each other senseless w/ 'em.

We did tag-team wrestling on the trampoline w/ extra points if you could bounce your opponent off the trampoline when throwing 'em.

We built ramps to try & do bicycle jumps over the driveway.

We built a fortress & spent way to much time swinging off its roof, jumping off its roof, etc.

Horse racing! (Man would my father get upset when he caught us using his stallion for horse racing - what can I say, he was the fastest & best trained horse! He should have been happy we never considered jousting... ;) )

Archery wars! (My friend's mother stepped out the back door & got caught in the crossfire. Good thing those homemade willow arrows weren't all that pointy!)

Building ramps in the winter to go flying through the air on those snow-saucers (that doubled as shields when we played in the summer)

Oh, wow. The old "bounce your buddy off the trampoline." We did that. I have an ankle that's still weak. We did dodge archery as well as dodge ball. We'd play at dusk and only aim below the knee. See, we were safty conscious.

LOL, I think your dad would have been very upset with the jousting :) But it would have been great to watch!

Especially fun since we never bothered w/ saddles or anything like that. ;)

Yeah. I broke an arm like that. It'd been raining and I thought that was a perfect opportunity to practise bareback riding seeing as how the ground was soft.

Cthulhu only knows how many times I fell off a horse as a kid. Never broke anything though. These days I'm not allowed on a horse any more. No-one's insurance will cover it if I have a seizure & break my neck falling off.

Since some genius decided it'd be fun to drive his rugby cleats through my skull in high school, yup.
