Pretty things and other
Law School, at a crossroads:
I'm starting to rear my ugly head as a feminist theorist GASP! in the classroom. I believe some dude ended a conversation with me today, saying he was going to go "eat a urinal cake." I imagine there's both a statement about my positions as well as my articulation in that. Either way, it was kind of funny.
I'm also a hater of Linder-a-likes on a broad scale, since I have no investment in every little decision being a competition. And my hatred is increasingly known.
The thing about being oppositional though, is that while perhaps it serves my "moral" investments (and in some rare few cases, my social investments) it certainly does nothing to help me from a professorial standpoint. However, I also maintain that my profs dislike me prior to oppositionality on the basis of my general unruliness. READ FAT, LOUD, QUESTIONING (if not oppositional).
Enough on that. Perhaps I mightn't worry about these things if I were briefing my cases right now...
