Long Island--> Niagara Falls;Canada, Chicago, South dakota, Wyoming, Oakland, San Francisco, LA, Las Vegas Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Memphis Tennessee, Atlanta Georgia, Jeetersville West Virginia, Baltimore--->Long Island & all the states inbetween.
We climbed sandstone and to the top of sand dunes and met strangers named Fabulous and invited a mormon to drink wine in our tent and got into Studio 54 but were kicked out of Mount Rushmore. We drove ATV's passed horses and ate countless peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. We made friends on the top of a mountain. We got stuck in a ditch. We drew and painted, and a crazy coyote ran at our car at 3 am near Alabama. We stopped in National Parks and Mom and Pop Restaurants and gas stations with kitchen tables. We saw buffalo and deer but no bears. We went to the top of the Grand Canyon and stopped in all the seedy bars we could find on the side of the road. We saw more stars than we knew existed, became addicted to beef jerky, and walked into a pirate store that sells lard to children. We slept in the car, a few homes, our tent, and in "the whispering pines" motel. We ate Alligator in Memphis with free wine and brushed our teeth in public bathrooms. We sang happy birthday to strangers on cell phones and met some of the friendliest warmest humans alive.
It feels sortof good to be home but strange not to be in a car traveling somewhere new. I've never been more excited to paint or had more to paint and draw in my life & this in itself is a very very good thing.
