This is a new character, for a novel I've only half-way outlined, so you can't find him anywhere. Sowwie!
Questionnaire #1 - The Basics
1. Your Name
Jason Andrew Martonelli
2. Your age
Twenty-eight
3. Describe yourself
What's there to describe, really? I'm just your typical guy-- 6 feet tall exactly, dark brown hair, lighter brown eyes. No one seems to notice me, so I guess I blend in.
4. Describe your mate (if applicable)
Katherine and I just broke up, but... I'll describe her anyway. We were engaged; the wedding was going to be in a couple of months and all. Kat's short, 5'3", with brown hair like mine, but bright blue eyes, the kind that seem almost to turn green in the right light. She's more of the unconventional beautiful, I guess, but no one could ever question that she was at least somewhat pretty. I thought she was perfect, though.
5. Where (and when) do you live?
Marshall Hills, in Northern California (when: present)
6. What's your favourite sweet? (It is so a basic!)
Rainbow candy canes, the kind you can usually only find at the stores around Christmas time, no question.
Questionnaire #2 -- Favourites
What is your favourite...
1. Season?
Summer, just as it starts to turn into fall, when the leaves are starting to consider changing, but there's no rain or cold yet
2. Food?
I love all of the pasta that Ma makes, though I'd never tell her that now, since it would give her yet another thing to blackmail me with. Beyond that... I like cheeseburgers, honestly. And not the nice kind you can make at home-- I like them greasy and disgusting, from a horrible little fastfood place. Maybe I have a death wish, but that stuff is good, if you don't think about it too hard.
3. Animal?
Chester, my golden retriever. As for wild animals, like at the zoo and stuff, I've always liked otters. They move so smoothly... it's kind of hypnotic, really.
4. Colour?
I like blues and greens, but not mixes of the two. And not the kinds that are so dark that you think they're black, either. I like rich colors, and the occasional horrible neon color combination.
5. Time of day?
Right after lunch, when you know that the worst is probably over, but that you still have enough time to get everything done that you still want to do.
6. Weapon?
...favorite weapon? Does calling 911 count?
Questionnaire #3 - Background
Tell us about...
1. Your place of birth.
I was born in Michigan, but we moved when I was less than a year old, so it really doesn't hold any memory for me to tell you about.
2. Your childhood.
I don't really have much to tell. I got straight A's, I played chess, I got hurt easily; I was the geeky kid who no one really wanted to befriend. Mom was over-protective, and I was unathletic and gawky, so childhood just kind of floated past without leaving much of a lasting impression.
3. Your parents.
Dad left Mom only a little bit after I was born... that's why we left Michigan. Mom says he moved out to California when we did, but to a different part. I haven't ever met him, so I wouldn't know. Mom herself... well, I have a lot of mixed feelings about that woman, to be honest. She raised me singlehandedly, for which I give her a lot of respect. But now that I'm an adult, she's overbearing, possessive, and just... clingy, I guess. At least she cares?
4. Your siblings.
I don't have any anymore... my little sister, Janet, died eight years ago, when she was sixteen. A drunk driver hit her... Mom still can't talk about it, really.
5. Your (current) home.
Well, thanks to Kat kicking me out of the apartment when she called the engagement off, I'm currently living with my mother. Oh, the joy...
6. Your favourite "hang out".
There's this bar downtown, Jack's Pub. It's classier than most, and my friends from work and I go there a lot, so I guess it counts as my favorite.
