So my one reader has pestered me enough to finally work up the...boredom that it takes to update this business.
So everyone seems to be leaving for summer vacations and whatnot. This excites me even more about the one that I get to go on...
Jenny and I leave June 30 for Salamanca, Spain. We return on July 28.
We're going to be spending 3 weeks at
Colegio Delibes, which is a language school that Pattipeg went to and told us about.
It seems like a pretty cool place, but the fact that Pattipeg went is def. a turn-off. But whatever, at least she won't be there with us. I'd have to kill myself.
So I'm def. a lil' (aka REALLY) worried that we're going to get there and have noooooo clue what's going on. We'll be totally lost and alone in a foreign country; we'll get raped, robbed, and murdered, not because Spain is a nasty place, but because we're just that dumb...
Ok so we're not really all that dumb. We're both experienced travellers, and have been to foreign countries before...but never alone!
I'm actually a lot more excited than I am scared.

AAAAHAHAHAHHAHA MICHIGAN BEAT TEXAS IN THE WCWS.....YESSSSSSS!
KISS MY ASS, CAT OSTERMAN! (and fuckin' MEGAN WILLIS, too! and Jacqueline Williams, too for that matter! the CHAMP? is NOT here!)
mmmmmk. done being mean.

Yeah. So. Spain.
We're staying with Sra. Maria Iglesias Rodríguez (a Spanish Host Family).
I'm wondering what kind of envirnoment it'll be like? Will it be like living with parents, where there will be rules and whatnot? Or will it be like a boarding house or something, where the only rules are those of common decency?
The drinking age is 16, which means only one thing!
We get to have wine with dinner!
Ehhhehheheheheh. We're good kids! Whyever ELSE would we be excited about being able to drink legally!?
Puhhhlease...I don't even know what alcohol IS?!?!?!
...yeah right.
For like 10 seconds we thought it would be cool to milk the whole "being legal" thing for all it was worth and get piercings and whatnot, but we decided against that REAL QUICK.
Salamanca sounds like a pretty cool town, too. It's a big college town, but apparently it's also pretty historic? The oldest university in Spain is there, and so are about a billion cathedrals. There will be no shortage of sightseeing. That is, if we (and be "we", I mean "I") don't run out of money about 3 days after we get there...which is very likely.
This whole Euro vs. Dollar thing kiiiinda blows...not only is the dollar worth less than the Euro, but everything is more expensive there (or so we've heard). Buuut whatever. This is a pretty special occasion, which I will gladly blow every penny that I own on...
So other than obsessing over Spanish, summer has been pretty softball-filled so far. And that's just fine with me. Apparently I scared away one of the freshmen during tryouts. That's probably the saddest thing I've ever heard... = (
I never thought that would happen? But shit happens...I guess?
And I would also like to announce that I am officially obsessed with the Wacky Watermelon Icys from 7-Eleven.
Right. So. Burning 3600 calories = 1 lb.
You know what. Fuck that.
I'm not getting caught up in all of this calorie counting craziness. It will fuck with your head.
All I can say is that I know what the right decisions are, and I'm going to start making them...
Mmmm yes so Shakira definitely has a new album coming out on June 12th (I think?). I'm pumped...
I am also pumped about being able to stay up late watching TV and then wake up late, and NOT have any consequences to worry about!!
K. I think I'm done.
OH. NO. I would just like to document the phenomenon of Killian's Curve.
Trigonometry:
Semester grade (before Final): 77
Final grade: 79
Semester grade (after Final/before curve): 78
Semester grade (after curve): 90+
Yeah so apparently the curve was big enough tob ring me from a C to an A?
...I'm not complaining!
=D
I'm out for now.
I'll update again...sometime...

(P.S. There is some really amazing music out there, and it's incredible the effect it can have on someone... Mad props to good music.)
