Well tonight was the banquet. It's kind of like the final goodbye for the seniors. I don't know what I'm going to do without them...
Some kind words were said about me tonight, and I'd like to take a chance to return those kind words to the person that said them.
Through my many years of playing softball, I have found no inspiration greater than Whitney Beltrán.
From my very first high school practice, she has motivated me and inspired me more than words can say. She's been so positive and helpful and supportive of me in everything I do, and all I can do is thank her. She's been my biggest fan for 3 long years and gone above and beyond what people normally do for each other. Be it staying with me after practice, showing me how to do something, or running with me around the track, it's all meant a lot to me. I don't think that I've ever really said thank you. She says that I've earned her respect, and to me that's a feat in itself. Though it's a feat, it's one that I didn't know would be achieved. I know she will go on to do AMAZING things in life, and hopefully she'll keep in touch so I can hear all about them. I can not express in any way how much her support has meant to me. I'm going to miss her so much, but all I can do is step up and try to fill her shoes. It'll be a tough job.
Thanks Whit.
