Ok. So. My grandma is the most vindictive person in the entire world.
But I know how to beat her.

Here's the story:

I decided that I wanted to buy a book at Border's. I called to verify that my check would be coming tomorrow since it's Friday. She said yes but that we were going to have a "meeting" when I got home. I figured she was going to take over my check and put it into her account. I was partially correct.

I came home and, in short, had her lecture me for an hour or so. But the basics of what she told me is that I have a new checking account at Bank of Oklahoma that has $100 in it (half of what she owes me) and that it is in her name and she has to accompany me every time I go to get money out. She also set a new amount of what I owe her monthly. $300. $100 for "room" (as she put it), $40 for cell phone, $50 for food, $60 for car insurance, and $50 to pay my dad back for my tires. I can handle all this. But what I can't handle is the fact that she changed the payee name on my check from my dad's to her's. She told me at the "meeting" that she had talked it over with my dad and he agreed that it would be for the best. I later found out that she went behind my DAD's back (as well as mine) to do this. She made an appointment at the Social Security office and changed it without telling him. He told me that he didn't agree with what she was doing, and he was sorry, but there was nothing he could do about it. This is where my mission begins.
I KNOW that there IS something he can do about it, because it was in his name to BEGIN with. And it was in his name for a REASON.
Evidently she gave them reason to believe that it should be in her name.
All we have to do, is take away that reason.

Nancy...will pay.
