welcome week
Welcome Week is kicking my ass! I don't remember being this exhausted last year. I'm almost so exhausted I'm sick. My stomach has been hurting all night and I have had many feverish symptoms this evening, so let's hope I can get a good night's sleep tonight.
So, after having a thoroughly awkward evening for various reasons, and feeling somewhat sick, I decided a nice drive around downtown would help me relax. Karen and Allison (the amazing girls across the hall) joined me and we had good times. I successfully parallel parked tonight for the first time EVER when we stopped in a Steak 'n Shake for milkshakes. Then on our way out, this dairy farmer came up and told us his life story and that he needed gas, and we didn't have to give him the cash, we could just come pay for it at the gas station for him, and he'd mail us a check. I didn't have any cash on me, but the girls did, so they gave him a couple bucks a piece and that made him happy. Very interesting and awkward...thus adding to my already interesting evening.
