[208] Four

Ruby frowned slightly, a hint of bored exasperation. Another day, another death threat- people were so touchy these days.

"If you're actually going to shoot me, could you hurry it up?" She heard the click of the safety ad turned around, rolling her eyes into another state and giving her would be assailant a deeply ironic look. "Honey, a gun's not gonna do much damage."

"No, I suppose not," the woman replied with a British accent that made Ruby practically jump for joy. "But a hole in your head would be awfully hard to explain."

So the girl had balls. Good to know.

But come on, threatening a demon with a gun that wouldn't to any damage other than making her possessed body less aesthetically pleasing? (And she could always get bangs.) It was kind of lame. Not to mention inhumane.

"She can feel it, y'know," Ruby said, pointing to herself. "It's not nice to pick on innocent little girls. Especially when they can't fight back."

"Says the demon. Would you rather be the pot or the kettle?" Another click and the gun was ready. Aim had already been taken. That was terribly out of order- Ruby didn't like it. It went 'ready, aim, fire' for a reason.

"I suppose I could always upgrade," she said with a lewd once over of her companion, smirking once the meaning behind her words set in. "You are cute." The gun wavered for a moment and with a giggle Ruby started walking again.

One, two, three, four...

"You wouldn't dare."

Tossing her hair, she grinned at the woman over her shoulder. "Pull the trigger and find out."

One, two, three, four...

Ruby smiled. Another day, another death threat. At least this one was amusing.
