[15.3] Decisions

He's been ignored for the better part of two weeks. When Sam makes her annoyed enough to kill she slips out of the room and tiptoes over to Alec, settling down beside him and resting her head on his shoulder. She finds his hand and takes it.

They don't say much, if anything at all, and after a while she feels her eyes get heavy and he lets her sleep, disentangling his hand from hers to wrap around her shoulders. She's perpetually too exhausted to dream so she sleeps calmly, sleep deprived body slipping down from his shoulder until he has to cradle her against his chest.

She wakes up a moment before Sam is calling for her and she ignores him. Her equilibrium returns and she uses Alec's thigh to push herself upright again. He tucks her hair behind her ears and she gives him a silly smile with her tongue sticking out before she kisses him and Sam calls for her again.

She almost wishes they would fight so she could tell him to fuck off and leave. But she's the one that's going to be leaving, following and leading Sam on his way to save his brother.

She just doesn't have the heart to tell him.
