Shopping and... er, you know, that other thing

Day off, and had a highly successful expotition to the local shops this morning. I not only accomplished the various errands on the immediate checklist (bank/post office/chemists type things - doing bank and postal stuff in my lunch hours has got more and more of a hassle as branches close, or move, and without exception move further away from my base point. I also managed to buy several things that were on my 'do shops sell these any more? have they stopped making them?' list.

So I can haz Bronnley Lemons Soap!!! (even if it is the rather small cakes) and also bought myself several shirts which the TopShop concession in the local department store had, in variations (colours, pattern, buttons vs poppers etc) on the same basic style.

Time Out has a really annoying article on '20 wild and wicked ways to have more storming sex in the city'. Yawn. Much of which seems like srs barrel-bottom-scraping, not to mention somewhat special-interest ('furverts' at no 15, and we're not talking the kind of fur-sex that got Sacher-Masoch going, know what I mean?), to drum up 20 things that are 'wild' enough. Sigh.

And do we really, really think that Killing Kittens (no 3 on the list) is really, really for '"bi-curious, glamorous girls" whose good-looking male partners are happy to come along and, as the rules stipulate, watch the action or wait until they're approached before joining in.' Why do I think of the trope of men buying 'sexy' (and uncomfortable) underwear as a gift allegedly for their partners' delight? And if women want to explore their 'bi-curious' side (which does seem to me to have become an expression that means 'will snog chix to titillate blokes') maybe they ought to be contacting lesbian escort services (no 12 on the list)?

Plus, I don't think the two-year sentence should be the only thing deterring readers from exploring bestiality (no 19) - hello, consent, ick-factor, etc?
