Almost there
I can haz just over 90% of essay review! And I can pad out the necessary 200 or so words to make it a feasible essay review (rather than just a Rather Long Review) by doing a quick whip-through of what the various sections of the book cover in a bit more detail.
But gosh, that was a lot less arduous than I was expecting.
Possibly because I have a whole lot of ideas bubbling up which aren't about the book itself but what it is and isn't doing and a persistent skew in the way people have been looking at the subject.

There are a number of areas that aren't actually what I consider primarily my field, but about which I know enough to know generally what's going on and to be critical of what people are doing. This falls within one of them.
