Yay! Reader's report for Commemorative Volume says of my chapter 'well-written and thoughtful, and I learned from it', and makes no editorial suggestions. Wheee! (And have also knocked off already 1 report on journal article, so the pile gradually decreaseth.)

Ponders my motivation: is 'getting my desk clear before things tumble all over me like the books in Howard's End' a good reason? I have been rather carefully picking my way among the outstanding stuff at work for things I feel capable of doing (though it did not help that the web editing software was playing up yet again - I don't think it was me, however jetlagged, when document which had been checked in and assigned a URL kept coming up 404).

Thank you: though the article in question is based on a paper of mine that has been around since 1997 - maybe it has just matured like good wine during that time.

I am quite chuffed, because some of the other people in the volume are Very Big Names. I am also just relieved to have one potential revision task knocked off the pile.
