Okay, I am fairly used to somewhat incoherent solicitations like the following:
I am planning to release an Upcoming Issue, for this we are planning to start this prestigious event with your articles and the receipt of your eminent work is the good sign for our success towards [journal with a very broad and capacious remit but only the most tangential bearing on my own actual research interests].
Or offers to spruce up my website in, I think, some misapprehension about what it's actually for:
while searching over the search engine I came across your website and thought, it would be a good idea to do an analysis on the website as your website looked exquisite!, very well written and informative. But I was really worried after seeing the website online health. Now I can say why the website may not be driving traffic. The basic point missing in the website is back-links, adding to this the coding issues are not making it any good either.
I am keeping this short, but I can give you my word, if given a chance, we can turn this around to make the website a great success.
If you are already using someone for the website, they should be aware of the basic reasons why the website is failing to drive traffic and looking at the current status of the website, I am sure they have no clue. So would let it to your wise decision here. If you would be interested, I can send you a no obligation analysis report of the website for your reference.
I am naturally gratified by their good opinion of its exquisiteness, etc, but even so...
But this one is entirely baffling:
Hi there,
[YourName] fits our ideal profile for businesses we are interested in acquiring.
GeneralHealth Group Inc. is the leader of consolidation in the healthcare industry.
We are NOT brokers.
With 200 years of industry experience and $10BN worth of transactions, we are working tirelessly to create better systems in the very fragmented sectors of the healthcare & pharmaceutical industries.
....
It is our mission to bring hardworking business owners & practitioners like yourself lucrative exit opportunities.
Our team’s track record has completed over 1,600 transactions.
If you’d be open to a conversation, we would love to discuss [YourNames]'s potential with you.
Am also being offered opportunities to attend 'the largest gathering of senior supply chain management from all the key sectors including food, pharmaceutical, medical, chemical, ICT, retail, etc'. Have no idea what I would do once I got there, if I got there.
