O desastre! O desespoir!
This morning I was having what I thought was connectivity problems with my desktop.
And eventually I thought, as my phone and tablet did not seem to be having problems, maybe if I turned off and turned on again?
And when it restarted it was 'unable to load User profile'.
After a few go rounds with this, it started configuring Windows.
And now I have Windows running and pretty much everything back to basics or lost completely. (Fortunately things I was working on were backed up.)
But honestly, the angst of just trying to reconstruct things which had been outsourced to browser tabs and bookmarks and saved passwords, and settings one had carefully set in the distant past.
Why some things have reappeared and others haven't, is a mystery.
It's being weird about where it puts things I reinstall and it seems reluctant to let me override Edge as default browser grrr grrr grrr.
ETA And now I just restarted to see if that improved some of the issues and EVERYTHING CAME BACK THE WAY IT USED TO BE
