Bit of a theme....

I read this yesterday (it's actually in the print edition today) I stuck my foot out to trip her - I just wanted her to have a tumble so that we could laugh about it. Then I heard her screaming, is it, or am I being a prejudiced feminist harridan, always blokes who think this sort of 'prank' is going to be funny, even well after they have passed the age of six?
And I discover that the unfortunate victim of this has written her side of the story: I did wonder, though, would a female friend kick me over ‘for a laugh’? I don’t think so; that kind of physical horseplay isn’t what women are generally taught to do in social situations. This is a point several of my friends and family have made too.
and although the bloke has done various things to demonstrate apology (some of them a bit weird, honestly) I live with my fiancé and my sister, who cared for me every day that I was back home. I was completely immobilised so they had to do everything: help me wash using flannels and a bucket of water in bed, lift me onto a commode in the living room and carry another bucket of whatever I produced up to the bathroom. Between them, they cooked every meal and brought every glass of water I consumed for three months. They entertained me with crosswords and puppet shows. And they held me when I cried with pain and frustration, and woke up in the night to be with me when I vomited from the pain, or the effects of the morphine I was taking.
while she seems to be trying to take care of bloke's feelings and preserve their friendship because that's just the way he is???

His girlfriend compared him favourably with an ex, saying he is 'the perfect size' and 'I am the best sexual partner she has had' and sex with Very Well Endowed Ex was actually painful. But he is more concerned about dick-sizing competitiveness? and wonders should he get surgery? (PSC and a deviation into sense in the reply.)

The Repository for Germinal Choice was supposed to produce super-kids from the sperm of white high achievers. Yes, it was racist and it was horribly eugenicist, but this rather plays down the positively early-modern sexist concepts of the role of the sperm embedded in the entire concept, no? What about the mothers, eh? That precious bodily fluid doesn't actually contain teeny homunculi! Okay, it goes with all the other pernicious ideas embedded in it, but possibly at such a basic level that it's practically inaudible?
