A few things

Dept of Signs and Portents: Snake mystery after lone, elderly python lays clutch of eggs: The oldest snake in captivity - known only as 361003 - hasn’t been near a male python for two decades: [U]nusual though not rare for ball pythons to reproduce asexually. The snakes also sometimes store sperm for delayed fertilisation.

Dept of, uh, History from Below? Adorable rustic mock-Tudor ladies loo listed by Historic England: “Resembling a miniature rustic cottage, the design of Bank Hill Ladies public convenience artfully obscured its purpose to shield sensitive Victorians from the reality of public urination[.]”

Dept of, feel this is not the whole story: My marriage is in crisis and I'm wondering who has more rights on the property. The mortgage is fully paid off, and, although I paid it all, it is in both our names. We cannot help musing, what else was the other partner contributing while the enquirer was undertaking mortage payments....? Maybe they were lounging around eating bonbons, but - mention of 3 kids now grownup, only 1 still at home. Hmmmmm.

Dept of, I think Ask A Manager would have said, this was the right decision: My best friend of 20 years turned me down for a job. Is there any way to save the friendship? I think this all sounds well dodgy quite apart from the 'not working with friends especially if there are going to be boss/employee dynamics in play': He turned me down since we know each other’s “true” CVs.... We have known each other longer than our wives and were at each other’s weddings. We both know information on each other that could get us fired.

Dept of, Yes Important but No, not the first: I was a little irked by all the tributes to Shere Hite, significant as she was, claiming that she was saying these things for the first time. I will concede that somehow these things keep needing to be rediscovered and reiterated.
