Be careful in your invocations?
Flitted across my Twitter feed yesterday some bloke 'looking for a new muse'.
A concept which made me go 'ugh' and 'aaaargh' and 'are you zombie Robert Graves?'
But on reflection I thought, wow, that is really dodgy and a 'be careful what you wish for'.
Conjures up image of a scene on Mount Helicon, and complaints that these days, no-one knows how to make a decent invocation, do they girls? Sighs all round.
Thalia - well, it would be Thalia, wouldn't it? - giggles, and says, let's show 'im.
So they descend from the mountain, and -
Hijinx ensue.
I see this as going in all sorts of interesting directions - new art forms for them to patronise, and of course women and genderqueer persons rather than just men for them to inspire.
