What I read
Finished Fire Sale, took a brief break from all Paretsky's Warshawski all the time to read Peter Dickinson, Skeleton in Waiting (1989), in which I realised memory had conflated some plot elements that were actually from King and Joker.
Then it was back to those ol' mean streets: Hard Ball (2009), Body Work (2010), Breakdown (2012), and Critical Mass (2013). Most of these I remember something about, but Breakdown didn't seem familiar at all for some reason. You would think the one that begins with tweenagers doing a ritual in a cemetery based on a popular YA shapeshifter series would have stuck in the mind.
Re-read of KJ Charles, A Seditious Affair (2015), which led me on to A Gentleman's Position (2016), then back to The Ruin of Gabriel Ashleigh (2015).
On the go
And thus to A Fashionable Indulgence (2015). (I am aware this is the incorrect order of reading.)
Up Next
Well, there are 3 more Warshawskis plus a volume of short stories and a new one out shortly.
