What I read
Well, it was still all Barbara Hambly Benjamin January mysteries, all the time: A Free Man of Color (1997), Fever Season (1998) (as I remarked the other day, possibly epidemics of yellow fever and cholera were not quite what I wanted, but I persisted), Graveyard Dust (1999) and Sold Down the River (2000).
Have also done some research reading for fictional purposes, but that has been dipping into books rather than reading them straight through (there's also been a not insignificant amount of repetition).
On the go
Die Upon a Kiss (2001).
Up next
Probably, Wet Grave (2002), which I thought I was missing, but turns out to have been shelved on the sff shelves rather than with crime/mysteries.
