I.e. today I received my second solicitation to review a new Big Fat Book on the history of STIs for A Learned Journal.
Which made me think about that thing that was going about on Twitter about And What Did You Do in the Great War, Daddy? in the last decade that has barely a month left to run?
Though on further reflection I think I might have previously acquired the reputation, sustained during those years, as a go-to person on history of Ye Loathsome Diseases Consequent Upon Immorality, the Heinous Synne of Onan, preventive devices and abortifacients, &C, and it just doesn't go away.
And there are some instances where I wish it would, as in case of Topic I Have Over The Years Been Dragged Into Writing/Speaking About partly because of having close association with related archives and partly because it lies close to my other interests, and which I really have no desire to perorate on or to get involved in current debates about.
