Farewell, Malta

Would recommend.
Okay, a few points deducted for mozzies and the public transport trauma on Saturday, but on the whole the transport situation was okay - cheap flat fare, and the buses connecting with the Gozo ferry terminal seemed to run expeditiously scheduled.
Not perhaps one for the art-lover - the Knights of Malta were not great, or at least, particularly discriminating, patrons of the arts, even if they did give Caravaggio refuge until he got in Dutch with them as well.
Lots of lovely views, delicious and not too expensive food, and millennia of history.
Also, the historic sites, museums etc, are mostly v well done =(lack of signage for hypogoreum thus rather a shock).
However, the v hilly nature of the terraun might pose some access issues though they're usually good at the sites about this (within limitations of the ruin, etc). This entry was originally posted at https://oursin.dreamwidth.org/2994699.html. Please comment there using OpenID. View
