Conferencing hedjog is knackered

Interesting/fun/stimulating conversations.
However, got a slight niggle of that thing of being somewhere that I don't quite see my way home from at the reception: tried calling the hotel shuttle as suggested (the conference opening reception being at some place downtown) to find the number I had put into my phone didn't even ring: I discovered when I finally got back that the hotel front desk number on the website and various bits and bobs is not the one that relates to the front desk or possibly anything at all (a kind person called me a Lyft, about which I feel a bit ambivalent, but it was kind of them).
