They called her Dr 'Belt and Braces' Oursin...

So, my dr rdrz will recall that the most recent development in the gym membership saga was effusive apologies before I sicced The Law upon them and of course my long-term legacy membership is still valid -
They even conceded that since this had not been clarified as a result of my initial letter way back in June and I had thus lost 3+ months of gym facilities, they will extend it (sky don't fall, river don't rise, if we're all still here, etc, I murmur to myself).
But, anyway, their messages assured me that the message had been passed on to their staff that I was, indeed, persona grata at the gym.
So I finally got myself in gear to go there and see what it looks like after several months (my dearios may recall that it was having a somewhat nightmarish tendency for equipment to move and vanish on a weekly and even daily basis), and at least, perhaps, do a little mild cardio, for lo, yr hedjog is sadly out of condition and is still looking into the trainer, suitable for old ducks like unto myself, situation.
So I go there, and the person on the desk says something along the lines of 'you're back' and a short while later comes along to the changing room (where I was still, fortunately, not yet changing) saying they could not find me On Their List -
And I had, Just In Case, for lo, I am one suspicious hedjog, printed out the email saying of course they were honouring legacy memberships and taken it with me, so they took a picture of it with their mobile.
I then proceeded into the gym, and indeed there have been changes, they have opened up an area that used to be sunbeds/the area they did assessments/massage room, and there are tracts of open space and also places where machines are curiously crammed together, I don't even. The numbers of cardio machines are much reduced but I was able to do a very cautious session on the treadmill.
And they had at least got their act together re the showers and hot water. This entry was originally posted at https://oursin.dreamwidth.org/2837382.html. Please comment there using OpenID. View
