Concentrates the mind wonderfully
Not being able to get online while I'm in the library (for some reason, this particular Institute of Teh Highah Learninz does not like my eduroam login based on my connection with the Godless Institution in Gower Street, although I had no problems while I was waiting for my bus to O'Hare in the coolth of the Memorial Union at Madison). This would be okay, but it also means I can't get online when I break for lunch. Chiz.
However, in the reverse of the situation that pertained during my stay in Urbana-Champaign, I do have wifi in my B&B.
And I am totally giving them kudos for finally providing me with a room that suits my desire for not having light streaming in - okay, blind rather than curtain, but single window at an angle which does not shine directly onto the bed. They have also very kindly taped over the motion sensor for the bathroom light so that it does not do That Thing, I cannot even, why are such things?
