Did not hog the discussion session
It is a truth universally acknowledged that if
oursins go to a seminar on the history of contraception, they will hog the discussion session; no, actually I didn't, I think that was the elderly bloke who took the 'not so much a question, more of a comment' motif into realms that were practically giving his own seminar on a matter really rather peripherally related to the topic the roundtable of current research had been on.
But will cop to having contributed to the discussion, by asking questions relating to the papers of the two participants who were being a bit left out as everybody seemed to be discussing the third (which I thought was the least interesting, but that may be just me).
Also stayed rather longer than I had meant to at the after-seminar drinks, for more informal chat on the matter in hand.
Still, today I did what I had intended to do, which I had thought might have to be cancelled because of father-visiting, but as there was some prospect of his coming out today, did not do that. (In fact he is in probably to end of week, so will go tomorrow instead.)
A brief cardio session at the gym. Calling in at Former Workplace where I still have a desk to have tea with Former Line Manager (I am so glad I got out when I did.) Going to the seminar.
Did not really do the research reading I thought I might manage to find time to cram in while I was in Former Workplace.
