Saturday breakfast rolls:
brown grated apple, approx 2:1 white spelt and Khorasan (kamut) flour - this was a really a happy accident that turned out very well. I'd intended making it half and half white and wholemeal spelt, but a) it was the end of a bag of white spelt flour so I thought I might as well use it up, and b) then took the wrong bag out of the container and didn't realise until I'd weighed it out.
Today's lunch: wild Alaskan salmon fillets baked in foil with a little dill - a bit overcooked I think, should have either done them for a few minutes less or else on a lower shelf in the oven; served with La Ratte potatoes roasted in beef dripping, kalettes (this is so much something that should have been the name of a 60s girl group that I'm having to resist putting
kalettes, bop-bop shooby-doo wah)
roasted with garlic, and tat soi stirfried with star anise.
Bread tomorrow, I think.
