A little surrealism on the Tube
Observed on the Northern Line this afternoon -
A young woman wearing a hijab -
- along with a (I guess?) Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer headdress - sparkly felt antlers, and a red light bulby thing that she didn't actually have on her nose but dangling round her neck.
The semiotics of this, especially as although the annual Christmas onslaught is already under way, I don't think we're yet into 'tis the season for merry revelers on the Tube (particularly given that it was only around 4 in the afternoon), are a puzzlement to decode.
