I'm pretty sure I've seen this around before.
liv gave me an S
Something I hate: Simplistic views of history/Simple explanations for complex phenomena. Or, if it has to be just one word, Sexism.
Something I love: Spas (this is probably no news to anyone).
Somewhere I've been: Salzburg. Day trip, I think, from Munich when we were there in ? '03. What I remember: Mozart Balls (13-year-old back of the class snigger). The funicular, which is Very Old (? one of the first ever?): which is perhaps not entirely a reassuring thing to hear. The park which was formerly the garden that the Bishop created for his mistress. (And I think this was a good deal later than the Renaissance, when one expected that kind of thing. Or you do if you have read the Browning poem about the Bishop ordering his tomb.)
Somewhere I'd like to go: Simla, except I suspect what I would really like to do is time-travel back to the Simla as recorded in Plain Tales from the Hills . These days I daresay it is either entirely different or kitschily touristic.
Someone I know: In the Milly-Molly-Mandy books, she had 'little friend Susan'. I have several friends Susan and at least one Susanne.
A film I like: Seven Samurai. Admittedly it is probably some decades since I last saw it, but I did see it several times.
If you would like a letter to do this, please comment.
