The researchers concluded that sleep in industrial societies has not been reduced below a level that is normal for most of our species’s evolutionary history.
I file this, pretty much, alongside anything that debunks the assumption that in A State of Nature women begin popping out babies upon menarche and go on popping them out until death or menopause supervenes.
Also the idea that stress is unique to Modern Life rather than (probably) pretty much Part of the Human Condition.
But I suspect my views on people punditting about Modern Life/Contemporary Phenomena from a position that regards e.g. the folkways of a particular society in the 1950s as Throughout The Whole Of History Since Time Immemorial are well known to my dr rdrz.
