Dolls houses; slamming doors

Anyone up for a jaunt to that dolls' house exhibition at the V&A Museum of Childhood next week? (any day except Wed) as I realise that the following week is already looking difficult; and then it ends.

The ghastly news that Jonathan Franzen's next novel includes 'a fanatical feminist' and that some woman writer whose name is unfamiliar to me has tweeted '“After all these years we finally get to read a man’s take on feminism.... Bless you and the hard work you do, Mr Franzen.” (No, can that be wrote satirikle? PLZ?) I mean, basically men haven't shut up at least since Horace Walpole referred to Mary Wollstonecraft as a 'hyena in petticoats', have they? Also there have always been women prepared to do the 'loony caricature feminist' figure in their books to prove that oh no, they're not like that.
And talking of dolls' house and exiting therefrom, was Ibsen NOT A MAN???? This entry was originally posted at http://oursin.dreamwidth.org/2324127.html. Please comment there using OpenID. View
