Domestic entropy
I mentioned some while ago the decoration to which I returned. The painting is now done and things are (temporarily) almost back to normal.
However, having the front curtains cleaned revealed their state of decay, so we are in for new curtains. (And, it transpires, new curtain rods.)
A new front room carpet to replace the existing manky specimen was always in the plan.
The cooker has been giving increasing problems for some while now, and given its age, it doesn't seem like something that's fixable. Hence, new cooker.
Today the washing machine sprang a leak... (repair service booked online.)
There is also the issue of the leak in the tiles over the kitchen window, although this only happens with really heavy rain.
