I was wondering what to end on, and I think this piece on the
londonist site, drawn to my attention by
forthwritten is a good place to conclude.
How King’s Cross Concourse Was Designed 12,000 Years Ago.
While I am just slightly 'meh' whenever anybody invokes 'psycho-geography', I do think this particular article points up the issues of layers and change and adaptation to new circumstances that I think of as very much what London is about: not a static city but one constantly mutating. And as it does so, also revisits various sites already noted among the preceding 99 things in this series.
