Oh dear, at this short notice I cannot manage it

Dear Dr [Oursin]

It is my great honor and pleasure to invite you attend the Tokyo International conference on neuroscience 2012 in Tokyo, Japan (from March 15-16, 2012), and the 3rd EPS International Forum on Neuroscience in Nanjing, China (from July 6-8, 2012). Please visit our main website at www.epsworldlink.com or other website at www.epsglobal.ca for program details.

The conferences are aimed to promote international exchange and progress in the field of neuroscience, and to enhance international collaborations across the world; and, therefore, the great and exciting time for participating physicians, scientists, nurses, technical experts and other professionals who are interested in neuroscience.

I don't even.

(And could members of the various targetted constituencies in the field of neuroscience just swan off to an international conference at less than a month's notice? Inquiring minds would like to know.)

In other news, was thinking this morning is it ironic or what that I, the distinguished historian of sexuality (according to Some Person On Teh Intahnetz) am the sceptic about Victorian vibrators? I'm not the one jumping up and down and going 'Wow sekshual weerdness!!!'

Though I'm also not the one trying to claim that the Victorians did not see what the docs were allegedly doing in women's nether regions as anything to do with sex at all at all: because Victorians were Just That Naive About Teh Sexx.

I'll be over here doing the All More Complicated Bop, interspersed with some of the more advanced poses in All More Complicated Yoga.
