Yesterday there was tramping around the Kunsthalle looking at Art - some good stuff, but a lot of rather bogstandard paintings by lesser known members of specific schools, pupils of, etc.
Today, having met up with partner's brother and sister-in-law there has been extensive walking round Hamburg.
Which is more attractive than I had anticipated, more Hanseatic in its general architecture and ambience.
However, we hit a run of sights which a) had a waiting time for entrance of 3 hours, or we could buy timed tickets for the morrow, which we did b) were closed to the public for the duration of a concert c) had the English tour at a time which would have meant a very late lunch, so we decided to do the one tomorrow morning instead.
Did see various buildings of interest, canals, bridges, etc.
Walked to the Botanic Gardens, which were very nice, but quite large.
And then walked back from there to the hotel.
There may be photographs at some point.
But, ow my feet.
