It's a sort of fame I suppose...
I was stunned to discover that I can haz filmography!
I.e. I have an entry on IMDB in respect of one television programme I was on - playing myself. (Actually I thought I was Posing As A Nexpert.)
I don't know whether to be boggled that this entry has somehow been generated, or miffed that they only have that one programme of all the ones I've held forth in on female sexual anatomy, vibrators, Victorian vice, the pox, marital aids, Marie Stopes, contraception, masturbation, sex education, prostitution, the history of fetishism, etc etc.
A programme I strongly anticipate I shall not be asked to be part of anytime in the future is the one on Sex in the C18th I was approached for info about last week
I have the strongest suspicion that the programme producers were thinking in terms of Tom Jones (60s movie version) meets Fanny Hill at the Hellfire Club, the consequence was a Bawdy Romp, possibly involving a threesome with Emma Lyon as she then was on Dr Grahame's Celestial Bed.
Not: panic over onanism; persecution of 'mollies'; prevalence of STDs; ditto of illegitimacy; brutality in marriage; precarious position even of relatively privileged women. (I do not count myself A Nexpert on C18th, but I Have Opinions on the basis of having been asked to review a significant number of books on the period.)
