Dear Facebook,
After I comment on someone's wall, I don't really think I need to see it in my newsfeed. It's not like I have short term memory loss like in that movie Memento rendering me incapable of knowing what I've just done. Also, Facebook, I don't need to see what my friends comment to each other on their respective walls either. I like to have to do a bit of work in my stalking, and frankly, Facebook, you're just making too easy, as well as kind of boring. I miss the days when if I wanted to see what John said to Jimmy the only option I had was clicking wall-to-wall, now it just comes up unasked.
I remember when it was mostly status updates and photo albums on my newsfeed, maybe the occasional event. Now it's filled with nonsense I don't particularly care about, and while the "Highlights" portion is alright, it doesn't update frequently enough to be of any real use. Also, it takes forever to find where the events are, and by then you don't really care anymore.
Furthermore, Facebook, what is this "poking"? I find the entire process vaguely disturbing and I'm not quite sure what is meant by a "poke" and whether or not I should be glad that I've received one.
Though you do wonders for stalking or "staying in touch" as some would call it, I would really appreciate it, Facebook, if you'd just stop being so creepy and maybe just amend human interaction, as opposed to replacing it.
Regards,
Amanda Bacoyanis
