I cannot believe I have not blogged about Seoul Palace before. It has to be my favourite Korean restaurant in Canberra! Whenever I get the urge for some K-BBQ, I trudge my way there (dragging E with me) and the owner would welcome us with a smile.
It is on a rather pricier-side of Korean restaurants, especially if you take into account the settings of the place. It feels like a no-frill restaurants, though it is located in Civic, so they must be paying high rent for place. E isn't as keen on the K-BBQ, so when we go, I always have to have the whole dish for myself, which is A LOT since they have a 2 person minimum for the BBQ.
The place is hardly ever empty, it is always at least half full of Koreans when we're there. I take it as a good sign! :)
The service? It is excellent! Recently proven when I organised a dinner there with the guys from the Food Club at work. I originally booked for 20-25, we started ordering a banquet for 16 people, with 2 ordering ala carte. Then 4 more people came, and confused the poor waitress. We even got a lot more entree than people among the confusion, heh!
Being a Tuesday, the place was packed! Having only 1 other waitress to help, the owner was prompt with our orders (drinks and meals) and the food came swiftly. When we asked for more kim chi and chilli paste, they came straight away, not scrimping on either.
I don't have any photos for Seoul Palace, I have always been to greedy to stop for a photo whenever my meal arrives :) Perhaps next time!
