Raylan's given Hasi some space, since the break-in. He doesn't want to hover, and he isn't one to fuss. That said, he has worried about her some, and it's been long enough he feel he's due to check in.

Besides, accidental poker evening aside, he's overdue for a trip to the nexus anyway. So when he steps into Stigmata, he figures even if she's not there, he could do with a drink or two himself.

She knows he's there even when he steps inside--it's the walk, maybe. The swagger. Hasi turns to look over her shoulder, little smile in place, and her drink held aloft between her fingers. He told her once that she wasn't like the girls he'd normally been with, and she's probably more that now than ever, with her ridiculous wardrobe and ridiculous alcohol, but for some reason being around Raylan takes her mind off her costuming.

So she's happy to see him, for that and other reasons.

"Raylan," she calls, as a pleased, drawling greeting.

"Hey there." He comes over to sit next to her, an easy smile on his face. "Been too long." As if it were completely a coincidence that he found her here.

He gestures for a bourbon. "How's life treating you these days?"

She looks at him, a little wry.

"You mean since last time I saw you and a guy got shot in the middle of my apartment?" Hasi adores Raylan--really, she does--but sometimes she thinks he compartmentalizes even more than she does. "I'm okay. How are you?"

"It was very diplomatic of you not to point out who shot him," he observes. "But I'm fine. Things have been pretty quiet, for the most part."

"Doesn't that usually mean the calm before the storm for people like us?" It's a rhetorical question. She puts her glass down and reaches out to touch fingertips to his jawline, mostly in order to kiss his cheek hello.

"It's good to see you, cowboy."

"You too," he said with a bit of a smile. He turned to kiss her more properly, if light. "Aren't we terrible, just waiting for the other shoe to drop."

"I am always terrible." Her own grin appears in increments, but it's there. "I've been making plans to get things handled at home."

"Oh? Handled in what sense?" He didn't make it an innuendo, letting the question remain genuine for the moment.

"Handled as in I know where they live, and I am going to go over there with a plan." The plan she has yet to come up with, but it does seem to necessitate the use of magic, or at least hypnotism, the latter of which can at least be explained by semi-mundane means. She seems confident with this idea.

"Ah. Getting that handled." It could have been something else, he supposed, but he wasn't totally surprised either.

"Just... be careful."

"Do you think I'll be able to do it by myself?" Given that she's not a war-faring type and never will be. She sips her drink for a second, and then glances halfway back at Raylan.

"Depends on what exactly you're fixin' to do, I should think," he said, giving her a sidelong glance.

She turns more fully to address him, tone taking on that girlishly plaintive note it sometimes has; she doesn't try to be manipulative when she does this, and Raylan is probably used to it, but she's got a gift for sounding just faintly vulnerable.

"I don't know, is the thing. I should go in there and do something to their memories, shouldn't I? But I worry that it breaks the rules of not using my gifts on people who can't use magic back."

Admittedly, those rules are ones she made up for herself.

"Hell, darlin'," he said, softly, "you made a body disappear. If somethin' ain't done, that could get ugly real quick." For the both of them, but if they didn't know which world to look for him in, he at least had a hiding place.

"It's not that you have to do the memory thing, but if not and you want them to leave you alone, you're gonna have to give some sort of a... a deterrent," he said, measured but sure.

"Something to make them feel that I'm scarier than they are. Yes." She can understand the logic behind it, though as she adds, resting her chin in her hand and her elbow on the bar top, "The best way I know how to make men feel like they're going to lose where I'm concerned is to sleep with them. That's probably not the ideal method here."

Mind you, she's not sure how Raylan would feel about that, either, but they avoid discussing the details of their arrangement. It's worked so far, so she keeps her tone dry and light.
