believing in vacation

Woodinville is that sort of country area but bedroom community. It puts me in the vacation mindset, even though we are only weekending.

This morning Devon and I fished on our excursion plans, slept late, went out for a breakfast1, browsed an estate sale and house auction, and are now having a beer and lazing about.

Thursday I was reminded at what a terrible correspondant I am, when I received an email from Alan. I was hit with a sudden bout of missing him and his family. I need to be a more frequent journallier.

1. We went to the Maltby Cafe (no help from Mapquest). I had biscuits and gravy with sausage and scrambled eggs; Devon had three(!!) poached eggs over tomato, avocado, biscuits slathered in hollandaise sauce. It was better than the Tin Shed. True.
