Do you ever dream about fighting for your life? I used to dream of being paralysed- knowing that there was someone in the room while I slept and not being able to move at all- still, shadows, terrified. Until I learned it's an actual sleep disorder and perfectly natural- the cause behind many hallucinatory alien abduction visions and ghost dreams.
No, lately I dream of literally fighting to death. Like I'm in a slasher flick or an ultra-violent video game and who ever is against me keeps coming and coming. The other night it played out like a spy movie. I was alone in a house when someone crawled in through the window. I sat helpless watching them do so- and then came the attack. Fight after fight until the end when I revealed myself as some sort of high up operative and this whole thing had been a plan to kill me, the super agent. As the good guys took away the assailants, I shot them in the head. it was all a double cross, see? And the rookies who had attempted to take me out were now on my team and we were going to kill the person who put them up to it- my boss, Bill Murray.
