Wedding Woes
So the wedding planning has been going well but we just hit a hitch. I want both my step dad and my dad to walk me down the isle. When I told my stepmother this she just stopped talking. Then when Eric and I got back from our weekend there was an email in my inbox saying that I shouldn’t have Ken (my step dad) walk my down the isle because this is my fathers moment. There are so many things that are screwy about this. I won’t get into it all but basically Dad wasn’t a dad for many years and Ken was. I am going to put my foot down on this one. I just wish this would have come up in about 2 weeks because they are coming up next week for about a week and I would rather not have any drama. But we shall see. I am going to email her back soon. O yeah and the costs on this wedding just seem to be climbing every time I talk to Terry. Yikes!
Eric and I had a great weekend. We sent fishing down on the Russian. I basically suck at river fishing but it is still fun. Brian caught us some salmon so at least we have some meat in the fridge. It was great to get out of town. It is easy to forget how pretty Alaska is when you are stuck in Anchorage.
Work is going good. I got my raise and promotion and am pretty happy there. We have some new employees. I am not sure that one of them pulls there weight at all. But all there is to do is to wait and see. The weather is getting colder. The morning ride is getting chilly. Good bye summer!
