So the economy is tanking in just the ways that Ron Paul was discussing last year. The central argument against inflating to solve problems is really that people who earn a wage and have to save in US markets get taxed for every inflated dollar that federal reserve prints. I've never seen or heard of a time where the Fed's practice of printing money to solve problems is more out in the open. I'm starting to wonder if this central bank will go the way of the last two that failed. One can only hope.
I started a new job and what I'm realizing more and more is how atypical our living arrangements really are. Most people feel that both the mother and father have to work at a job in order to provide for their children. I feel as though I must be getting away with something here. It's rather strange. I wouldn't ask Marissa to get a job because jobs suck. I'd wouldn't wish a job on anyone I liked.
I've gotten back into Linux lately and I'm starting to realize why I stopped using it in the first place. Many things just don't work right. The basics work pretty well but if you try to setup a drawing tablet let's say then your night is basically gone.
I've been a dad now for almost seven months and it's been great. It's been challenging at times for sure but our baby is a lot of fun. I've discovered lately that the best thing I did was something no one really told me to do but what just seemed right to me and that's take time off when the baby is born. There are lots of reasons to do this but it seems like one thing that's happened is that Alexandra really likes me a lot. She associates me primarily with play but also with care. I've been obsessed with something Marissa told me about how many moms in her local mom's group complain that the dads aren't involved enough and that the baby doesn't like the dads much at all. I can't even imagine that being the case for me. I'd be pretty upset if she didn't like me. Thankfully she's my little buddy and gets very excited whenever she sees me. She thinks I'm pretty funny apparently. That's a good thing because this kid loves to laugh.
