I AM SICK! Whilst I do partly agree with Penny that its mind over matter, I am a man and therefore have it way worse than you folk could possibly understand.

I imagine it is due to  'Burning the candle at both ends' . On Friday I popped down to Brighton for the weekend. I'm too poor to have a genuine holiday, so I decided watching Bryony's band, ( Read more... )

Jeffrey Brown books will only make you feel more ill and sorry for yourself. My prescription is a power-nap, gargle with aspirin, then SUCK IT UP AND GET ON WITH IT.

I should be running a boot-camp. I think I'd be good.

I gargled with TCP, took some beechams capsules, went for a quick walk to get some air and downloaded the orphanage and darjeeling ltd to watch later. Then by friday I aim to be back at the gym.

How often do you gym it? It seems a lot. I have 2 months left of my membership but i'm planning on hitting it very hard for those 2 months.

I applaud you for taking medication and not just whinging! The Orphanage is fantastic, I was disappointed with the Darjeeling Ltd though. It was just. OK.

On a good week I'll go to the gym every day, but life often gets in the way so it's more like 5-6 times. I mix it up though, bit of pilates, bit of resistance training, bit of martial arts-type stuff, Spin classes and a LOT of running. I get bored otherwise. How about you? I find other people's workout schedules fascinating, and harbour a secret desire to become a personal trainer...

I dont really have a schedule. Up until the age of 22 my diet consisted of KFC, and my exercise consisted of mario kart. I had a rep of the laziest man alive, who would never eat fruit or veg, and my best mate called me mr glass for my constant illness and injuries. I didnt even do p.e in high school because i had a dodgy knee, then decided fuck it, i'll play on that and continue to be lazy and listen to my walkman ( ... )

Sounds like you've got a really nice balance to me! Free weights are tons better than machines, but I guess you know that already. I always find it funny the way girls tend to gravitate towards classes whereas boys seem to prefer to stick to the gym floor and make their own rules. It's really something that you made such a drastic lifestyle change - I wish I could motivate my boyfriend to even get off the couch (partly for the selfish reason that I'm dying to have a workout buddy!!)
